For 28 years, the Star Service Fishing Rodeo has allowed our team to trade a day at the office for a day on the water. More importantly, it gives us time to connect with the people who make Star Service what it is.
This year, team members from our Lafayette, Lake Charles and Baton Rouge offices came together to fish, relax and enjoy each other’s company outside of the day-to-day work environment.
Bringing Our Teams Together
With three offices serving different communities, we may not always get the chance to spend time together away from work. The Fishing Rodeo changes that.
It’s a chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet team members from other locations and build relationships that extend beyond the jobsite or office. Whether the fish are biting or not, spending time together helps strengthen the camaraderie that connects our entire team.
A Family Environment
One of the things we value most about Star Service is the family environment we’ve built. Our team is made up of different people with different personalities and roles, but everyone plays an important part in our success.
Events like the Fishing Rodeo give everyone the opportunity to relax and be themselves. That sense of openness carries into our everyday work too. Our leadership believes in an open-door environment where employees can speak up, ask questions and know they’re being heard.
Pulling the Rope in the Same Direction
No matter which Star Service office we call home or what role we play, we share the same goal: doing what’s best for our customers and our employees.
The 28th Annual Star Service Fishing Rodeo was another reminder that strong relationships make a strong team. We’re proud of the culture we’ve built and grateful for every team member who continues to pull the rope in the same direction.
