  • Star Service technicians are factory-trained in most major brands including Trane, Carrier, Daikin (McQuay) and York/Johnson
  • All technicians are required to be EPA Section 608 Certified
  • Refrigerant Management system to help ensure customer compliance with EPA 608 and 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F

Due to the shortage of technicians in the workforce, effective training in the HVAC industry is more critical than ever. Star Service utilizes state-of-the-art, online, virtual and simulation training in which the technician can learn at his or her pace. Classroom training is also available, taught by experienced, HVAC instructors.

Star Service is looking for individuals with a track record of dependable service, is a proven team player and a proficiency in HVAC maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
  • Work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
  • Be available to work limited nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all equipment installations: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturerís recommendations, and effectively explain to the customer the remedy.
  • Communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions.
  • Provide detailed, complete and timely paperwork and required
  • Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
  • Identify and report to supervisor/manager potential opportunities for additional business.
Skills
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues preferred.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.

  • Well groomed, neat appearance.
  • Valid social security number, driver’s license, clean driving record, must pass background check.
  • Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company.

within the commercial/industrial industry by presenting information to decision-makers and
demonstrating the benefits of Star’s approach over their current HVAC management. Enjoy a fun,

Successful reps have had backgrounds in selling solutions rather than tangible products. This is a
business proposition, based on financial assessments. HVAC experience is NOT required. Your
proven track record in sales, combined with great relationship-building skills, will allow the right
candidate the opportunity to shine in this role.

Requirements Include
  • College degree preferred
  • 1+ years of outside sales experience
  • Documented records of sales achievements
  • Experience in a high activity, cold calling environment a plus
  • Superior prospecting and closing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of focus, determination and integrity
  • Must pass a drug and background screening
  • Service Contract sales experience a plus, but not necessary
